I have never been a wine drinker, but lately I have noticed more and more of my friends are hosting wine parties and attending wine tastings. Now I am not one to always jump on the band wagon, but it seems like a pretty cool culture the more you experience it. I have so much to learn and I want to ask YOU for your help. What are some great wines to try, what wines taste best with what foods? I would love to know your thoughts and what you think is the best. Will you help me out, The Mosaic?

How many of you are cooking a turkey for the first time this year? If you are anything like me, you are probably scared to death to attempt to cook one. If you are interested in trying, check out this ARTICLE for a “how to” on cooking a turkey. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Sometimes it is hard to understand how tragic something is when we don’t get to see it first-hand. Luckily we have constant updates with social media to see these devastating tragedies like Hurricane Sandy. I always want to know what I can do to help the victims. Well, there is a group of organizers called “Occupy Sandy” who registered for a wedding on Amazon. The best part is no one is getting married; it is for us to buy much needed supplies for all who were affected by the hurricane. Check out the story HERE for more information.
What a great way to help these incredible people who lost everything they have worked their whole lives for.
It’s November 1st and you’re most likely asking yourself, “What am I going to do with all this Halloween candy?” Dentists across america may have that answer! Operation Gratitude is urging dentists to collect candy and send it to the troops overseas!
You can learn more about the operation here.
Are you going to urge dentists, if they don’t already, to participate Mosaic?
I love my share of snacks, especially when it involves peanut butter. In fact, last night I made honey biscuits with peanut butter and syrup. That’s not THAT many calories, right? Check out this cool WEBSITE of 10 peanut butter recipes for the fall.

More pink on the field thanks to a very smart 11 year old. The NFL officials will be using PINK penalty flags for Sunday’s Jets vs. Dolphins game after Dante Cano wrote commissioner Roger Goodell with a fine suggestion in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
This is a piece from USA today and I (as the writer of the particular blog) could not agree with it more: “The NFL’s embrace of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is undeniably great, yet you’d be amazed at the number of complaints on Facebook and Twitter about the league going pink for four games. Seeing Aaron Rodgers with a pink towel tucked into his waist is too much for some people, apparently. Stop the complaints. The league can go overboard sometimes. When it’s for a worthy cause like this, it can’t go overboard enough.”
Dante and his family have been invited to the game to help deliver these pink flags to the officials! Now THAT will be something to remember and rightfully brag about when he is 30! Or any age for that matter!
Quote from Goodell “Sometimes the simplest ideas can be the best. I applaud Dante for sending in his recommendation.” Are you on board with the PINK flags, Mosaic?

I love the feeling a great workout gives you once you are done. It’s probably more of a feeling of accomplishment than anything else. I see a lot of people are hooked on yoga. I myself have never ventured there, but I saw something “new” the other day. It is called Doga (Dog Yoga). Check it out HERE for more information.
Have you ever heard of Doga, Mosaic? What do you think about it?
